Côtes-de-Provence vineyards have their roots in the Bouches-du-Rhone, at the foothills of Mount Sainte-Victoire. These Cotes-de-Provence vineyards cling to the slopes in “restanques”, man-made dry stonewalls supporting hillside terraces, or isolated in the middle of pinewoods. Here they benefit fully from the Mediterranean climate: mild winters, early spring and moderate summers when the sun’s continuous and beneficial action ensures the vines produce fully matured grapes, oozing ripe juice.
