The Vineyard
The north-facing Hull Family Vineyard is closely planted in lowcropping
vines. High sun exposure and unique soils, combined with the
region’s typical Indian summers, produces grapes of intense aroma
and flavour.
2007 Vintage
The 2007 vintage in Waipara was a moderately cropping season with
a warm/dry summer and autumn, resulting in balanced yields of ripe,
fl avour-concentrated grapes.
Winemaking
Hand harvested and whole bunch pressed, the wine was tank
fermented at a low temperature and back -blended with non fermented
juice to achieve a low alcohol wine and to retain natural freshness of
aromas and fl avour. Aged in the bottle before release in October 2006.
Tasting notes
White peach and citrus characteristics accompany fresh acidity for an
off dry style, light bodied wine with an elegant long finish. Ideal as a
lunchtime wine or as an aperitif.
