The wine opens with aromas of fresh ripe blackberry and black cherry with hints of vanilla, cedar and sage. Rich concentrated fruit rounds out the palate with flavors of fresh baked berry pie. Silky tannins follow with a long finish. This wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 20% were new. This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of both our own premium vineyards and select growers from the northern end of the Napa Valley.

Rich and intense, with a deep, focused concentration of savory currant, wild berry, hazelnut and mineral notes, supported by firm tannins. Drink now through 2014. 2,000 cases made. –JL
