A combination of both rich fruit and spice is found in the 2005 Pinot Noir Clark and Telephone Vineyard. Notes of sweet plums, cherries, currants, loamy soil, and herbs are found in both the aromas and medium to full-bodied flavor profile.
Part of the Wagner (Caymus) legacy, Belle Glos honors the co-founder of Caymus Vineyards, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner. It showcases Pinot Noir and is a venture cared for by Joseph Wagner, one of the next generation, totally dedicated to quality winemaking. Thus far, their vineyard sources are from 3 different premier Pinot-growing areas - Santa Maria Valley ("Clark & Telephone"), Santa Lucia Highlands ("Las Alturas"), and the Sonoma Coast ("Taylor Lane"). The vastly different flavors produced demonstrate the diversity of flavors from Pinot grown in site-specific soils.
