Crystal Valley Cellars was originally founded in 1980 by Mitch Cosentino, and later evolved into Cosentino Winery in the Napa Valley. In April 2001, Crystal Valley Cellars was re-established as a winery dedicated to the production of fine wines from grapes grown outside the Napa Valley. At Crystal Valley Cellars, like his other two wineries, Mitch Cosentino takes a "micro" approach to wine making. The winery focuses on small, distinctive vineyard lots, allowing the fruit sources and varietal characteristics to determine the blends.
