The inky colored Vinas de Gain is redolent of cassis, dark currants, red raspberries highlighted by blue fruits and hints of violet. The sweet nose is scored by undertones of leather and olive. Very full bodied, racy red and black fruits. The mid-palate is very polished, though the finish is persistent of black raspberry and spice with gritty tannins on a 60 second + performance. Great structure to this wine, good now with generous aeration, best between 2012-2022.
